Licence applications opened

The new licensing process opened in March 2026. The National Police Board's online application service became available on 2 March 2026.

Licensed services can begin

The Finnish Government states that most provisions of the new Gambling Act enter into force on 1 July 2027 and licensed gambling services can begin from that date.
